Mission

• 1. to develop and promote civil society, civic participation and good governance on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria;
• 2. to develop and promote the principles of democracy, the rule of law, parliamentarianism, transparency of institutions, European integration and accountability in public and political life;
• 3. to conduct scholarly and policy analysis and provide expert analysis in the fields of politics, economics and humanities;
• 4. to be an intermediary between civil society, academia and political representatives and bodies for better cooperation between them;
• 5. to advocate for freedom of the press, transparency of state institutions, good governance, foreign policy, regional security and cooperation on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria;
• 6. to encourage the involvement and participation of youth in public life.

Means of Achieving Objectives

• 1. organizing public debates and discussions that aim to identify potential threats to democracy, civil and media freedom, social progress, equality and regional development;
• 2. developing policy proposals and ideas that aim to solve problems in order to establish a link between politics, the media and the civil sector by developing a network of experts in the academic, social and political spheres;
• 3. monitoring and analyzing the activities of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria and other state institutions;
• 4. collecting and analyzing scientific and professional literature from the social sciences and humanities;
• 5. conducting research in the field of social sciences with a focus on political science;
• 6. publishing texts by authors on political, economical, social and cultural topics;
• 7. organizing, independently or jointly with other organisations, professional meetings, consultations, seminars and other forms of educational events to raise awareness of social responsibility;
• 8. bringing together experts to work for the education of citizens and the promotion of the values of a democratic society;
• 9. cooperating with universities, schools, professional associations and other organizations on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and abroad that have similar or the same objectives and activities;
• 10. cooperating with government institutions through the exchange of information and experience.
